GOLD COAST, AUGUST 21
Senior Care worker Tam (Noriyuki Tamura) has been appointed head coach of the Queensland Kendo Team for the 2027 Australian Kendo Championships, recognising his decades of dedication and contribution to the martial art.
The appointment follows Tam’s recent success at the Kendo Masters competition in Japan, adding another milestone to his distinguished Kendo career.
Tam has contributed to the Queensland Kendo community as a competitor, instructor, grading panellist and supporter. Throughout his competitive journey, he has won multiple Australian Championship titles, including first-place honours in team, veterans and team kata events.
Cura Aged Care said Tam’s achievements reflect the same qualities he demonstrates in his daily work as a Senior Care worker, including dedication, discipline, leadership and a genuine commitment to helping others.
