The Mental Health Foundation Australia (MHFA) has announced that its Knox Wellness Hub will begin taking appointments from September 1 at the Australian Indian Community Centre in Rowville, offering affordable counselling to people from different cultural backgrounds across the City of Knox.
The hub is located at 16–18 Kingsley Close, Rowville, Victoria 3178, and will operate from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Counselling sessions will be available from $30 for a 50-minute session, making the service accessible to people seeking affordable mental health support.
MHFA said the hub would support people from all backgrounds, cultures and stages of life, with the aim of making mental health services more accessible, welcoming and easier to reach within the Knox community.
The initiative is intended to provide a local point of support for residents who may otherwise face difficulties accessing affordable counselling.
MHFA has encouraged community members to share information about the service with people who may benefit from affordable mental health support.
The organisation said the Knox Wellness Hub reflects its focus on improving access to mental health and wellbeing services for diverse communities.
