On Saturday 21 February a striking four-metre inflatable football was illuminated on the Parramatta River, anchored beside Lennox Bridge visible to commuters, diners and riverside walkers.
Every night between 6pm and 10pm until March 11, the installation will come alive with light and sound providing powerful visual marker that the tournament has arrived in Western Sydney and a reflection of the region’s central role in hosting Asia’s premier women’s football event.

Tonight, exactly one week before the tournament’s opening night on March 1, the celebration moved skyward above Cockle Bay Wharf.
Five hundred drones illuminated the night in a spectacular free public show telling the story of the tournament, featuring imagery inspired by the competing nations, players and cultures of Asia’s biggest women’s football event.
