The Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia (FECCA) will hold its 2026 national conference in Canberra from October 14 to 16, bringing community leaders, policymakers and experts together to discuss the future of multicultural Australia and the role of leadership, belonging, cultural inclusion and social and economic participation.
FECCA described FECCA2026 as its biggest conference yet. The conference will be held in Canberra, ACT, under the theme “Many Stories, One Future.”
FECCA said the conference would provide a platform for community leaders, policymakers and experts to examine how multiculturalism continues to shape Australia and how diverse communities can contribute to the country’s future.
The organisation said the conference would focus on the importance of leadership, belonging, cultural inclusion, and economic and social participation in shaping shared values for Australia’s future.
FECCA CEO Prerana Mehta said multiculturalism continued to enrich the Australian story and that the conference would bring different voices together to consider issues affecting multicultural communities.
The conference is scheduled to run from October 14 to 16 in Canberra, with FECCA encouraging community representatives and other interested participants to register for updates about the program.
According to FECCA, conference alerts will include announcements about speakers, special events and other program developments.
The conference is expected to provide opportunities for participants from across Australia’s multicultural sector to exchange experiences, discuss emerging challenges and explore ways of strengthening participation and belonging.
