The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) has discussed opportunities for closer cooperation with the Queensland Government during a meeting with Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affairs and International Student Attraction Hermann Vorster MP.
FICQ’s executive committee discussed potential areas of collaboration in supporting volunteering initiatives, strengthening multicultural engagement and creating positive outcomes for Queensland’s diverse communities.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore ways FICQ and the Queensland Government could work together to encourage greater participation and build stronger connections among multicultural communities.
During the meeting, Vorster formally launched the poster for FICQ’s upcoming Multicultural Unity Dinner, an event aimed at bringing people from different cultural backgrounds together.
FICQ thanked Vorster for his continued support and encouragement and said it looked forward to further collaboration with the Queensland Government on initiatives benefiting the state’s multicultural communities.
